How it works
Each tool is a web page with the processing code built in. When you add a photo, your browser reads it from your device, processes it in memory and offers the result as a download. No server ever receives the file.
Open-source software
The tools are built on these open-source libraries, loaded from the public jsDelivr and cdnjs content delivery networks:
- heic-to, built on libheif (LGPL-3.0), for decoding HEIC photos.
- exifr (MIT) for reading photo metadata.
- JSZip (MIT) for packing several files into one download.
When the libraries load, the network only sees a request for the library file. Your photos are never part of it.
